Robert D. Dean is a retired father of three and grandfather of five. He lives in historic Franklin, Tennessee with his wife, Vicky. Before retiring, he worked in the Christian Music industry for more than forty years, in marketing, sales, advertising and distribution. He’s written hundreds of radio spots, print ads, product catalog descriptions, sales brochures, and magazine articles.

He’s also a certified paralegal. He has three books, “Faith & Funnies: Wit and Wisdom From the Porch Swing” and a youth Civil War novel, “Echoes of Andersonville.” His most recent book is a children’s bedtime story entitled “Who Colored the Leaves?” which has already won two awards (the 2025 International Impact Book Award and First Place in the Spring 2025 BookFest Awards for CHILDREN’S -BEDTIME & DREAMS category.)

He’s an avid reader and fine connoisseur of British television. Military history is his favorite hobby, especially The American Civil War, 18th century British naval warfare, and vintage aircraft. He is a home winemaker who has won several awards for his creations. He is a community group leader at Fellowship Bible Church in Brentwood, Tennessee, and a frequent volunteer at his town’s historic Franklin Theatre.
